Schoolhouse Gulch

This hike is an 8 minute drive from us. It is a 2 mile hike with about 250' gain. It is a new single-track loop in the trees. Look for a wooden sign on the left as you're driving through Garden Valley. There will be a large sign for horse riding at the parking lot.

Station Creek Trailhead

This hike is 10 minutes from us. It is across from the Forest Service Ranger Station. It is a 2.7 mile hike with 1500' gain one way. Steep ass-kicker leading to sweet views of the forest and beyond. Local hotshot crew uses it as a training run/hike. Time to beat is 22:00. Go!

Lightning Creek Road

Lightning Creek Trailhead is about a 20 minute drive from us. From Crouch, head up the Middle Fork Rd for about 5-6 minutes. Turn right onto Lightning Cr. Rd/Fs 611. Trailhead is another 2 miles. Lots of options here for timbered trails.
