Dwarf Pines Plains Preserve
"This Westhampton preserve features low-rise vegetation, presumably due to its rare soil composition. Although the fauna is less diverse than that of other preserves, the site supports endemic wildlife uncommon in nearby habitats, especially rare birds like black-throated green warblers, American kestrels, and marsh hawks. At less than a mile long, the hiking trail is ideal for a relaxed sunset stroll. Southeast intersection of Sunrise Highway and County Road 31, Westhampton"—Hamptons Magazine
