If you're visiting for awhile, then you might enjoy this one hour drive up I-65 North to Ave Maria Grotto: located on the grounds of St. Bernard Abbey, the only Benedictine monastery of men in the State of Alabama, it consists of a landscaped hillside of 125 small stone and cement structures.
