If you find yourself traveling through the longest combined motor vehicle and train tunnel in North America, stop and sample the fudge in this quaint family run business. The children of the family run this shop to pay for their college education. I’m not a huge fan of fudge myself but I am a fan of local businesses and of developing a work ethic in our youth. I always stop and buy some fudge to gift to my friends and family who do love this sweet confection, they all give it a 👍🏻!

Make sure you go prepared, the tunnel opens on the half hour to go to Whittier and on the hour to leave Whittier. There is a toll for using the tunnel but the toll coves your round trip. I always make sure to have Disney’s, “It’s a Small World” ready to play during the ride. I explain to my two sons that this tunnel ride is just as good as going to Disney. (This is met with eye rolls. They don’t think I’m funny.)
