My favourite place in Liverpool
The oldest Cricket Club in the world, other than Lord's and that's because the club moved from it's original location, nearer to the city. Celebrated it's 200 year old birthday in 2007.
I devised the title for the Bi-centennial book, "No Dogs and No Ladies", being a controversial sign on the Members Club door.
Nowadays, thankfully, everyone is welcome.
Fantastic South West facing balcony. Look for the bullet holes from a Second World War attack.
Great beer too.

Take a train ride out North to Freshfields Station, do a wonderful circular walk, heading North from the car park, carefully crossing the railway line and heading West on the footpath across Formby Golf Club, then through the National Trust sand dunes to spot the Red Squirrels an on to the beach. Head South down the beach and come off at the signs for the station at Freshfields.
You might spot an LFC player as many of them live in the area.

When asked what was the 'Price of Fame'?, John Lennon said "Not being able to have a drink in 'The Phil'."
This is 'The Phil'.
If you're not famous, 'The Phil' is. It was designed and built to be the most fabulous pub in the world. It is.
Well worth a visit.
