If Glacier is too busy, or you just want to hike elsewhere, check out Jewel Basin; a National Hiking Area that is home to pristine mountain lakes maintained exclusively for hiking and camping. It's a local favorite only 45 minutes from Kalispell.

Lakeside is a small lakeside-town on the west shore of Flathead Lake. You'll find public access to the lake, watercraft rentals, and a great brewery, Tamarak Brewery, to grab a bite and beer after a long day on the water!
