I love this winery. It is located less than a mile from our property on Furnace Mountain Road (Springs Store Cottage) and is a 10-15 minute drive from most of our properties. On most weekends they have live music. Wine and food are great. And the location itself - building outdoor pavilion is well designed. Highly recommended.

Best view of Harper’s Ferry. Also a great workout. Hike I would consider moderate to hard. This is a popular place so I recommend going earlier in the morning. Park in Harper’s ferry, cross walking bridge and take a left on trail next to river. Walk a few minutes cross walking bridge over road which is direct to the Maryland heights trail. Takes me about 2- 2 1/2 hours.

489-551 Harpers Ferry RoadBest view of Harper’s Ferry. Also a great workout. Hike I would consider moderate to hard. This is a popular place so I recommend going earlier in the morning. Park in Harper’s ferry, cross walking bridge and take a left on trail next to river. Walk a few minutes cross walking bridge over road which is direct to the Maryland heights trail. Takes me about 2- 2 1/2 hours.
Great easy walk (not a hike) behind Waterford up to the waterfall. Park at the end of clover hill road and cross the paved road look left you will see a foot bridge behind the old brick mill that is the entrance

Awesome hike - great workout and beautiful view! Its ~5.7 mile out and back trail near Bluemont VA. I would allow around 3 hours. - after the hike I recommend stopping for a beer/wine at Bear Chase Brewery
