Best and freshest fish! My favorite: the salmon taco - one is plenty - they serve you big portions. The salmon taco is like a salad with fresh blackened salmon. Not traditional mexican - they use cabbage and mango instead of onion and refried beans.

This restaurant has been here forever and so I’ve not been until recently and was pleasantly surprised… the friendly servers, they work hard, the comfortable seating, the food was excellent and of course the view of the rock front and center. I took my son and our eight family members for his HS graduation dinner… The meals come in large portions. Chicken Marsala was delicious, Red Snapper and the Ahi Tacos also good.

Sightseeing
Best views from the trail. If you reach the top (you can drive taking the small road off the Golf Course or hike from different trail heads around the bottom such as Balboa Street), you can see the whole coast line from south of Baywood/Los Osos, to Cayucos. If you hike to the top from the parking lot, you get a 360 view of the hills east of us. Big boulders make for a nice place to sit and snack. Ask me for directions or I can take you there if I have time.

Small secret local park overlooking the bay, with grass, bathrooms and picnic benches. A beautiful paved walkway to explore the edge of the bay.

So many gorgeous trails in this state park! This trail can be busy but in the Spring the wildflowers are amazing. Try other trails such as “Coon Creek” “Valencia Peak” and the private walk on point Bushon down at the end of the park, sign in with the rangers and walk to the “sink hole” and hidden beach with sea caves.

Walk out on the pier, shop the Main Street, watch the surfers, dine at Cafe de Villa for dinner, or The hidden Kitchen for breakfast. Walk the bluffs trail that begins off the last exit before leaving town.

An easy hike out to a breathtaking part of our coast. We always see wildlife here; a roadrunner, Cooper’s hawks, owls, eagles, a kangaroo rat, Great white herons, blue herons, king snakes, and many wildflowers in the Spring.

Beautiful scenic trails that weave above the coast with views of the ocean, large meadows and an amazing Forest of tall cypress trees. Many artistic benches to rest on. You get the feeling the community loves this place with all of the love and attention they’ve poured into this preserve.
