Café de Playa is a nice place to eat because it is right on the beach. They also have good drinks. We have not had any bad food there. My favorite is the Tuna Tartare. From the condo, head down the hill towards the beach, turn right on La Chorrera. In a couple blocks, it will be on your left.

Only recently reopened, it has a nice atmosphere and good food. The manager makes the best ChiliGuaros (a shot with Cacique, lime and tabasco) and has taught his staff to make them also. Check out their food specials - including lobster pasta. The pool fountain is a nice backdrop. There is a pool table that can get quite busy.

El Pueblito is just two blocks from the development (not in Playa Flamingo as the map indicates). It has a diverse selection of great restaurants in a relaxed atmosphere. Zarpe, a hip pub, is also located here.

Taxi for travel to the airport
One taxi driver who we have used on multiple occasions is:
Manuel Abarca J.
506 8390 0935
Manuel.abarcaj@hotmail.com
His car number is 94
taxicabliberia.com
He can be reached via What’s app or by text. He can be scheduled in advance. The price of two people from the condo to the Liberia airport for 2021 using Manuel should be $50. For three people, $55. Because he is from Liberia, he is not a good contact for local taxi needs. If he is not available, he may have another driver pick you up.
There are other local taxis that can be hired.

Car, bike and golf cart rentals
Cars can be rented at the airport or in Playas del Coco. They can be arranged online. Know that the price for which you rent a car does not include required insurance. Insurance, depending on the company and the level of insurance you choose can exceed $50 a day. You should check with your vehicle insurance company and your credit card company ahead of time to see if any of the required insurances can be waived.
In town, there are places at which you can rent bicycles, golf carts and ATVs.

You can walk almost everywhere
Restaurants, Groceries and Shopping are a short walk away from the condo. It is a 10-15 minute walk to town. It is a five-minute walk to coffee and the Luperon. It is 15 minute walk to the Americanized AutoMercado and the more local Luperon across the street. The Luperon is a good place to buy local foods (coffee, Lizano salsa) you may want to take home as souvenirs or gifts.
There are a few shortcuts you can take to stay off the main road when walking into town that involve turning left on the first road after El Pueblito walking south. Feel free to ask me more.
