Beaches
Arkles bay is a beautiful safe family swimming beach, about 15 minutes walk from the house. Walk down the hill until you get to the intersection with Ferry Road, then along ferry road to you get to a park with a large pond - follow the pathway leading through that park till it joins another road (Arkles Strand), the beach is a few minutes along there

Little Manly Beach
8 minutes drive away, little manly is a nice little beach overhung by pohutukawas

Sightseeing
A nice walk down Wade River road from the house will take you to the Weiti River Wharf, with great views of the Weiti River and Karepiro Bay. Further along is the boat club with moored boats and views across to Stillwater

Shakespear regional park located at the end of the Whangaparaoa peninsula offers great beaches (Te Haruhi bay is our favourite), great views over the hauraki gulf and many beautiful walks, long and short.
