A local, old fashioned diner with awesome people working there. I recommend a BLT with fries and a vanilla freeze… and don't be afraid to dip the fries in the freeze.

Why go to a place called Manhattan Jack's in New Orleans? For the Peanut Butter and Jelly. It's made with two pieces of french toast crisped in butter, and you should definitely go ahead and add bacon. Keep an eye out for their fresh squeezed juices, especially the satsuma.

A restaurant with character, at Jacques-Imo's you can expect a crowd, and probably the owner walking around, drinking, and socializing with patrons. It's a lively place with some great New Orleans dishes: must-gets include the alligator cheesecake (an appetizer) and the soft shell crab special, if available.
