Though Palestine is a quiet town with quiet and quaint neighborhoods, many of the neighborhoods don't have sidewalks requiring you to walk in the street. The downtown does have sidewalks.
Palestine has the second highest number of Victorian style homes in Texas with Galveston having the most.
