The closest village to the house is Moira. Moira is great for finding most things including a small supermarket, pubs, cafes, petrol stations and a park. You can drive to Moira in 5 minutes or walk in 20-25 minutes. Although it isn't the most scenic of walks, there is a sidewalk the whole way.
Great for a nice meal, a bit more upmarket so portion sizes may be on the small side.

Belfast is just a short 20 minute drive from Little Fairfields. You can also get there by bus or train (there is a bus stop at the end of the lane and a train station in Moira) . Belfast is a must visit for sight seeing, eating, drinking and shopping.

The North Coast
If you are in Northern Ireland for a few days, it is definitely worth a trip to the North coast. If you are driving there is a beautiful coastal route drive. There are some stunning beaches and you have to get fish & chips.

Lovely beach with the Mourn Mountains as a backdrop. There are 2 places to park - the National Trust is a paid car park and another location where you can park for free. There are toilets and a small cafe beside the National Trust car park (toilets are closed during winter months).
