The Cascades is a moderate 3.7 mile round trip hike along a creek to waterfall. It is open year round and if you hike it in the winter you may see the frozen falls. If you're brave, you can jump in the water at the top.

Heritage Park is a quiet park with walking trails and a small wooden play area for kids on the interior. There's a small pond for viewing as well. The trail connects to the Huckleberry Trail which can take you all the way to Christiansburg. It's a nice place to walk or pack a picnic and eat. The sunsets are beautiful from the park benches.

New River Junction is a nice summer spot for tubing down the New River. It's a slow, relaxing float down to a set of small rapids. There is an exit area prior to the rapids if you prefer to just float. A bus is provided with your ticket to bring you back to the start. You may bring coolers and speakers to make your float enjoyable!
