Great walks and historical town
Lovely woodland walks (with bluebells at the right time of year), a play area for the kids. Also good for bike rides and there is a pump track for more experienced riders. You can walk all the way through to the seafront near Birnbeck pier. On the way try and find the ancient Iron age Fort! If you wanted to walk here from the house - going via Monks steps (National Trust) is an lovely walk if your feeling energetic - consider coming back via the New Castle (at the edge of the woods - bottom of the hill) stopping for a well deserved coffee (or wine) and some cake! There is also a car park for Weston Woods if you wanted a shorter stroll!

Offering many family friendly attractions such as the Grand Pier, and the long stretching beach. A designated promenade lines the seafront which is great to walk along and enjoy the area. As the promenade is separated from the road it is ideal for kids riding scooters, bikes, rollerskates etc. Weston offers many great places to eat and drink. During the summer there are hugely popular organised events such as the Weston Air show (usually around June), the Sand festival and the former Tropicana host attractions such as a funfairs, ice skating, skate parks and music events. Check out https://www.visit-westonsupermare.com/ for more information. It is walkable from Kewstoke (through weston woods), although you may prefer to take the bus. The Coaster service runs open topped buses from Sand Bay to Weston during the summer months which is a nice option!

The start (or end) point of the Strawberry line. A 9 mile former railway line which is now an off road cycle / walking trail running from Yatton to Cheddar taking you through the beautiful Somerset countryside. One of our favourite days out with the kids on the bikes. Parking at Yatton train station where it starts or take the train from Worle if you don't want to drive. Great place to stop and have lunch is the Railway Inn (Thatcher's pub) at Sandford, or plenty of places to stop for a picnic. Plenty of blackberry's to be picked on route in the summer.
