Best way to see Bath and the countryside nearby is on foot
We're happy to advise on the best walking routes and things to see. From the annexe, there is a lovely semi rural route down into Bath; this also connects to the Canal in Widcombe. It's 30 minutes walk to the Station and 40 minutes to the Baths.
Andrew Swift's book 'On Foot In Bath - Fifteen Walks around a World Heritage City' is recommended. The walks are shown on old maps and there is lots of history included. Available from Toppings & Co. in Bath which is a classic bookshop.
We can also recommend country walks, such as a 10 mile one from the annexe, which takes in six excellent pubs!
