A great place to camp, fish, swim, and explore. In the winter it’s a good place to view the northern lights, or even ice fish. In the summer it’s nice to enjoy kayaking, swimming, or relaxing at the lake.

Chena Lake Recreation Area
3780 Laurance RoadA great place to camp, fish, swim, and explore. In the winter it’s a good place to view the northern lights, or even ice fish. In the summer it’s nice to enjoy kayaking, swimming, or relaxing at the lake.
The top of Murphy Dome is a great spot to view the Northern lights! It also is a good spot to look out over the city, and enjoy nature. You can even pick blueberries there at the end of summer. Our cabin is located just a couple miles down the road.

They have a great selection for their Sunday brunch buffet. Classic breakfast/lunch items and a huge dessert table. It over looks the Chena River and you can see the “Love Alaska” sign.
