Food scene
Just a few blocks down the street is one of the best Restaurants in the country. Chef Alon Shaya opened his second restaurant after Shaya which is also great and about a mile down Magazine. The Hummus is so good that it really is almost an entree. Wood-fired and pickled vegetables are also something that sets them apart from the other hundreds of great places in town.

Pricey but well worth it. Walking distance to genius fine-dining. Highlights are the squid ink pasta and the Octopus.

One of the great things about New Orleans are these little "hole-in-the-wall" fine dining places that are tucked away in the neighborhood. This is one of the best. Personal favorite is the mussels.

Great breakfast 2 blocks away. There's a reason there's always a line. Well worth the wait.

Likely your first stop if you're brewery hopping down Tchop. Also one of the newest. Lost of traditional styles of beer including a Mexican style that goes great with crawfish.
