I call these my Goldilocks trails, because they're just right. A half mile of fun, technical descent on professionally designed trails with an easy half mile, wide trail for the pedal up. Most bike parks use the same symbols/designations to mark trails as ski resorts - green/easy, blue/intermediate, black/difficult. As you look at the Front Range, your Green trails start to your left, far right is the Black Line, and there's plenty of the in between.

Now, I have been to many ski resorts and I will say that Eldora is The Best for learning to ski or board. Their beginner terrain is expansive and unbeatable. They have plenty of steeps for the more advanced too. You can even take a bus from the downtown Boulder bus stop (on Canyon St.) to the ski resort. My cross country/nordic ski friends say that this is one of the most enjoyable courses in the state.

There is even a Buffalo herd that can be seen from the highway/pull-off, keep a lookout for them. Get off at the Blackhawk/Central City exit for some action at the casinos. Much of the old gold rush era town is preserved, a very unique Colorado experience. Stop at Indian Hot Springs located in the town of Idaho Springs for a natural hot springs soak and so much more. We always stop at Tommy Knocker's for a meal, followed by a visit to Georgetown Valley Candy Factory for homemade ice cream. Visit Mount Evans, the highest paved road on the continent. There are several spots to stop and enjoy this breathtaking high altitude mountain top.

Amazing views and access to front range recreation from our neighborhood. Our cross streets are W 136th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard. If you travel west on W 136th, you are looking at the Boulder Flat Irons. If you travel South on Sheridan, on a clear day you can see Pikes Peak, 116 miles away. Looking out from our Queen Bedroom Windows or from our backyard bench, we have a view of Long’s Peak (far right/north, tallest peak).
Breathtaking Front Range mountain views are everywhere in Broomfield. Parks and Open Spaces are accessible from the front door. In the printed house manual I share the very special neighborhood (good for families/all) walk. I also share my serene from the door bike ride through Open Spaces full nature and of course some very impressive front range views.

Extensive biking paths and world class bike parks; as well as running/jogging paths
Easy access to DIA/Denver/Boulder without remaining in the chaos of those settings and returning to our tranquil neighborhood
