The beautiful South West Coast Path which stretches around the south coast of England. You can join this by walking five minutes down the road towards the Imperial Hotel. The walk from here to Meadfoot Beach is nice, and also from Ansteys Cove around to Babbacombe where you can stop at The Carey Arms for a nice drink with views over the sea.

The South Hams region of Devon is one of my favourites and is home to some of the best beaches in the country. For a nice day out, head down to Blackpool Sands, a stunning private beach with a car park and nice cafe. It's about an hour's drive and good to set off early in the summer so you get a spot in the car park! A beautiful place to swim with clear waters.

The South Hams region of Devon is one of my favourites and is home to some of the best beaches in the country. For a nice day out, head down to Blackpool Sands, a stunning private beach with a car park and nice cafe. It's about an hour's drive and good to set off early in the summer so you get a spot in the car park! A beautiful place to swim with clear waters.
Totnes is one of my favourite towns in the UK and we're so lucky it's so close to us. A quirky, independent, hippy town with interesting people and beautiful independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Be sure to check out the market on Friday or Saturday. The Hairy Barista or Curator Cafe are my tips for coffee, and Totnes Brewing Company for a pint!

My new favourite spot in the bay! Just a 10 minute walk down the road and just up from Meadfoot Beach is the historic and stunning Osborne Hotel which has a beautiful terrace for drinks in the sun (it gets the sun until about 7pm, then you need to move to the harbour!). Sat on the terrace on a summers day, looking out to sea, you feel like you're in the Mediterranean! Thankfully not many people know about this spot so it doesn't get too busy. Interestingly, Charles Darwin lived here for a while.

The Elephant by Simon Hulstone. Regarded as one of Devon's best restaurants and Torquay's first restaurant to be awarded a Michelin star. Their seasonal tasting menu is something to behold. Just a 5 minute walk from the cottage too. Book in advance!

Just a short 20 minute drive away, this new vineyard and restaurant has a lovely vibe, selling local award-winning Sharpham wine, and their restaurant Circa is a real treat! They do great vineyard and tasting tours and it's a beautiful spot near the River Dart. Definitely worth a day out!
