Sightseeing by Train
This is no ordinary railway, it was the original Ghan. It is now 100% run by volunteers and I'd recommend you press your personal pause button and and sit back and enjoy a trip.
In addition to the railway trains (steam driven as often as possible) the PRR has a lovely museum in the Quorn Railway Station. If possible I would suggest you consider taking a railway workshop tour, and these can be booked at the Flinders Ranges Visitor Information Centre, a short walk from the SBSA. If you like photography you will love the opportunities on offer.

Sightseeing by Walking in Quorn
Powell Gardens is run by volunteers and displays an extensive range of arid plants. We enjoy walking through it as there are small ID labels at the base of the plants and there are pathways through the gardens. A coin donation tin is at the entrance gate. This is an old rural town, which has attracted the movie makers over the years. The combination of Flinders Ranges scenery, historic and authentic buildings, together with an operating heritage railway provide the perfect back-drops for a wide variety of movies and tv shows.
