White Cube Bermondsey opened in October 2011 and is the largest of all the gallery's sites, incorporating more than 5440m² (58,000 sq ft) of interior space. The building, which dates from the 1970s, was renovated and designed by London and Berlin-based architects Casper Mueller Kneer and includes three major exhibition spaces as well as private viewing rooms. Since its inception, the building has hosted a variety of important exhibitions such as the first UK showing of work by American artist Theaster Gates, a comprehensive retrospective of prints by Chuck Close and the largest presentation of Anselm Kiefer work's ever staged in London.

Food Scene

Josè Pizarro worked in the award – winning Meson de Doña Filo in Madrid before coming to London José Tapas Bar was my first solo venture: a tapas and sherry bar on Bermondsey Street in London. It’s small and cosy, inspired by the bustling tapas bars around La Boquería market in Barcelona and the traditional tapas bars in the hot, dusty towns and villages of Andalucía. The daily menu depends on what looks good at the market on the day. You’ll see a mix of new dishes as well as old favourites. We maintain a diverse wine and sherry list from both established and small producers of Spain. You will find wines and sherries here that you won’t see anywhere else. Come on down and have a pincho!

Bermondsey Street has been described the foodie mecca offering exceptional good restaurants and coffee houses making it a perfect location for The Watch House. The Watch House was built in the early 19th century and housed guards who protected the churchyard graves. Although it has received a total makeover we have decided to keep the initial name in order to preserve the local history. Luxury artisan coffee house in Bermondsey Street. For us it’s all about freshness, quality and exceptional taste, using organic and locally sourced ingredients.

Hi and welcome to F*ckoffee! We are an indie coffee shop in Bermondsey, with quirky wall hangings, colourful tables, and we play some cool tunes too. We opened in 2006, owned by Adrian Jones, under the name Bermondsey Street Coffee (BORING!). Our shop isn't easy to pigeonhole (we are trendy, but not really hipster trendy).
