Walking the beach to town
Walking on the beach to town is safer and more pleasant than taking the road.
At night the safest option is taking a taxi home, or a public "carrito" that you can flag down from the main street in Cabarete (they have a taxi like sign on the top).
Tell them to let you off at "Cajellon de la Loma/Ocean Dream" -
The cost is $100 DOP per person (during the day it's half that, 50 DOP per person.)
