Garden / nature
This is a magical and very special 20 acre private garden with three lakes, set in a valley tucked away in North Devon only 4 miles from Barnstaple. They also have a lovely cafe which you can visit for free (but paying for the gardens are worth it).

My favourite beaches
Mortehoe is a lovely little village on the cliff edge, walking distance (up hill!) from Woolacombe. There is a magic little beach called the Grunta - tricky to find but absolutely worth the fairly steep climb down, however check that the tide is out before making the trek down and be careful with dogs and children on the path, some of the cliff edge is not fenced!

Lovely village - try to seek out the secret beach through the rock path (only when the tide is out!!).
Pub in Lee is called the Grampus. It's quaint and cosy but I think unfortunately at the moment they are only serving drinks outside in the garden

Great walks
Here I've listed a couple of my favourite walks:
The walk to Baggy Point is fantastic. You can park in Putsbourough or at the very end of Marine Drive, and then climb up the hill from Puts. beach and follow the path to Baggy Point.
All of the coastal walks are stunning. A good place to start off is Mortehoe - you can walk to Lee Beach where you pass through Bennets Mouth.
At Lee Beach don't miss the secret and quiet second beach (if the tide is out) by passing through the rocks. You can also reach it by going up the hill, through a gate and following the cliff edge until you see steep steps down.
