The house is in a very desirable area within Fishponds. It has great walks on your doorstep including to Eastville Lake & Park, Snuff Mills, Oldham Estate and more! And the Bristol and Bath bicycle path is 3 minutes ride away!
A 3 minute walk takes you to Fishponds Rd can find an abundance of independent pubs, cafes/casual restaurants, take outs and hairdressers. And of course the mainstream take-outs too!

The Cross Hands Pub – Great beer, friendly staff, great food & roast dinners on Sundays are a winner! Lovely comfortable pub with quiz night Tuesday & steak night Thursday to share.
Snuffy Jack's - a cosy micropub in the heart of the Fishponds community, offering real ale straight from the barrel, traditional ciders, wines and a selection of gins & soft drinks. They are inclusive and have monthly art exhibitions, community events, quizzes and Snuffy Snacks on a Sunday.
The Star - Broad selection of award-winning real ales, premium lagers, ciders and spirits. Has a skittle alley, beer garden, pool table and two dartboards. The Star hosts live music.
Dyk Van Dyke pub – It’s actually a Wetherspoons but is set in a beautiful building so worth checking out. Tuesdays are steak night and Thursdays are curries.
The Old Post Office Pub – great for watching sports on the big screens. Has a small pool table and sells pub grub. Outdoor area available too.
The Railway Tavern – Tucked away off the high street and not the fanciest of pubs but has a large beer garden & screens covering the sports channels.
The Portcullis - Nice pub and staff are lovely.

Everyday Thai – Not the prettiest of venues but the food packs a punch. 5 star!
La Piazza 1 – for great Italian.
Olive Tree Restaurant – Great meze.
Grounded – All day for all courses, nice atmosphere with relaxed décor.
Porto Lounge – Great décor, vibe and good fare.
Istanbull Grill & Meze Restaurant – gets good and bad reviews but typically 4 stars.
Concorde Café – Cheap & no frills café with big fry ups!
Mamma P’s – Tasty Jamaican food.
Take-outs -
Everyday Thai – Scrumptious Thai food.
Mamma P’s – Tasty Jamaican food. Delivery times can vary..
Boujon – Great Indian currently only doing take outs.

The Xercise4Less Gym is just off the high street. Access from the house is down a narrow walking path past the church and the local high school. Monthly gym memberships are currenlty £10 with no yearly subscription, just give a month’s notice before you want to stop.

Walks -
Walks begin within 3 minutes of your front door. Walk to the end of New Buildings (the way you drove in), and turn immediately right. This will take you to the edge of the nature reserve. As soon as you go through the gate, take the first immediate dirt track on your left down to an arm of the river. Keep following it down (as a general rule you’re mostly heading down hill to get to the main River Frome. Once you get to River Frome, turn left for walks to Eastville Lake and then up to Eastville Park. Or turn right and head to Snuff Mills, Oldbury Court and Frenchay. And on it goes. Bring your bike! Bristol is a great city for cycling. It's a small city but if you don't have a bike, catching bus or uber where-ever you want to go isn't expensive.
Be prepared for the city life as well as the countryside on your doorstep! Bristol has a lot to discover!
