Sightseeing
Beautiful walk to the top of the hill behind Queenstown. The view of the lake from the "basket" (sculpture) is gorgeous. You can add a bit more to your walk by also trekking to the summit.

Arrowtown is a historic mining town, great for a day trip as you can spend the whole day enjoying the sights and restaurants. There are lots of trails which leave from Arrowtown (a favourite of ours is Saw Pit Gulley track), you can explore the Chinese Village, and enjoy several restaurants such as Provisions (breakfast or lunch), Slow Cuts (lunch or casual dinner), Chop Shop (lunch), and La Rumbla (dinner).

Arrowtown is a historic mining town, great for a day trip as you can spend the whole day enjoying the sights and restaurants. There are lots of trails which leave from Arrowtown (a favourite of ours is Saw Pit Gulley track), you can explore the Chinese Village, and enjoy several restaurants such as Provisions (breakfast or lunch), Slow Cuts (lunch or casual dinner), Chop Shop (lunch), and La Rumbla (dinner).
Parks & Nature
Lovely place to get out of town, without going too far. Great walk around the lake. Also nice to take a picnic here and enjoy the afternoon on the lakeside.

This is the nearest supermarket. There are lots of little shops around as well, including cafes, book stores, a pharmacy, etc. A great central place for anything you might need.
