The Avon Fishing Pier is a great fishing spot.
Daily passes to the pier run around $12.00 per person for adults, and $8.00 for children, although seasonal passes are available for frequent fishermen. The pier is also open to sightseers for $1.00 per person, and is a favorite strolling spot among locals who like to unwind at the end of a long day with miles of open-water ocean views in the background.

Pay attention to the forecast
The weather often changes very quickly and the area will flood in bad storms. Pay attention to high and low tides. Be aware of post rip tides, especially if you note and debris moving quickly out to see. In case of rip current stay out of the water. If you are caught in a rip current swim parallel to shore until you get out of the rip current. Life jackets are strongly advised.
