Sightseeing
Five (5) minutes to the east, on 1800 S, is the Mueller Park Trailhead. There are mountain trails to hike where you can reach views of the valleys to the west, north and south. There is also a stream that runs fairly high (be careful) in the springtime.

Best to access the lake at Saltair and best to visit from mid June to mid September...excuse the smell (minerals/sulfur) and the brine flies...you'll need to walk quite a distance to finally arrive at the water and further to wade deep enough to float. We had an exchange student from France with us for a couple weeks and this is an interesting/novel place we went, though my wife would have skipped it :)

After you taste the frozen custard, you'll know why the cars entering the parking or drive through spill out into the street.

Bountiful has a nice "farmer's" market during the summer.
If I were coming to Bountiful for a few days and this were my first time...the "Don't miss" places for me would be to drive up the canyon by the "B" far enough to have a view to the west of the Great Salt Lake...you may even see over Antelope island to the water beyond.
The Second "Must see" place would be Temple square...a 10 minute drive to the south. There are many things to do and see there.
And, the Third place for me would be Park City and/or Snowbird Ski resorts. I say "or" because they are in different canyons to the east and south of Salt Lake City.
