Sightseeing
At the height of the mountain lies a Nordic ski base (cross country skiing) and multiple forest trails. Beautiful snowy landscape remains until April currently. The summit is 8,847 feet (2,697 m), the highest point in Ventura County. [2]

Our favorite antiques mall is a 10,000 square foot spacel ocated in Bakersfield, CA with over 40 different vendors.. Most of the vintage items in the house were sourced here! Lots of deals and exciting finds. Don't miss the resident miniature Australian sheepdog, Millie (she even has her own blog!)

Hikes
The Enchanted Forest Trailhead is at the top of our street, an uphill 5 minute walk away, or a 2 minute drive. Once there, walk through protected forest alongside 200+ year old pines and a babbling snow melt stream. The trail is a 1.5-mile out-and-back trail and is generally considered a moderately challenging route. It takes an average of 1 hour to complete. This trail is great for hiking and walking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
