Sightseeing
This is my top recommendation. The gardens are absolutely stunning and not to be missed. If you are on a budget then park the car in Baslow and walk through the park, alongside the river or walk upto the hunting tower. Both have great views of the house.

Hire bikes and cycle the Tissington trail, a disused train track so the route is pretty flat but if you are adventurous then there’s plenty of routes “off piste” around the local villages

North Lee’s Hall is only a short walk from Netherhust and is considered to be the inspiration for the vicarage in the novel Jane Eyre. Charlotte Bronte is said to have stayed in the area when writing her novel and used many local spots as inspiration. These spots also appear in the latest film.
