You can enjoy a wander around this breathtaking reservoir, or through the warming woodland. Hanningfield is renowned for its nationally important populations of wildfowl and the reservoir is a wonderful haven for nature and wildlife. With numerous bird hides to watch from and plenty of viewing points to stop and have a rest, you are certain to spot some fantastic displays of natural wonder. There is an adventure playground that is designed to let young creative minds wander through play and discovery. From thrill-seeking tots to daring teens. The outdoor adventure playground encourages children to engage in the open air whilst boosting their health and fitness.
There is also a Cafe on the Water and Gift Shop. The Cafe offers delicious meals, spectacular views and that little bit of retail therapy to take home a token to remind you of a great day out.

Billericay Train Station is 4.3 miles away from the property and you can access London Liverpool Street in under 40 minutes! There are trains throughout the day and the late night trains for those of you that want to experience the London nightlife.

Fishing
Blind Lane Fisheries comprises of two Lakes supplying a great variation of fish suitable for all Anglers. Both Lakes are surrounded and enclosed by natural wildlife to provide a scenic viewing. It is a peaceful and tranquil way to spend your day.
Recent modifications have improved the swims, with easy access from the car park with a ramp leading to the Lakes to ensure access is available to all Anglers. The Specimen Lake is just under 3.5 acres in size with the smaller Match Lake being around 2.5 acres.
The Lake is within walking distance of the property and prior bookings at a discounted rate can be arranged through the property owner.

The Old Windmill has been serving food and ale to locals since at least 1799. Wood fires, flagstone floors and oak beams abound, it really is a classic English Country Pub and the food is amazing!

The Royal Tiger deliver Indian, Thai and Sushi to the house and they are highly recommended. If you fancy a meal out then the weekend is the best time to visit. They often have themed nights and live music.

There is a off-road footpath at the end of the Pandan Close that takes you directly to West Hanningfield playing fields. This is great if you are visiting with four legged friends or children that need to have a run around. There are football goals, a basketball hoop and an enclosed playground.

There is an Everyman Cinema located in the Centre of Chelmsford, just 4.5 miles away. If you have not yet experiences an Everyman Cinema then I would highly recommend it. You get to sit on sofas and have food and drink delivered to your chair whilst watching a movie!
