Our nearest pub The Onlsow Arms is a very pleasant and quick 15-20 minute walk along the Wey & Arun canal. It serves delicious pub classics at reasonable prices, has pigmy goats, a new smokehouse for 2021, large childrens play area, and separate canal side garden. Well worth a visit, we highly recommend.

It serves delicious pub classics at reasonable prices, has pigmy goats, a new smokehouse for 2021, large childrens play area, and separate canal side garden. Well worth a visit, we highly recommend.

All our welcome box items are supplied from here. Easy to walk to Plaistow across the fields and footpaths, if you fancy going on foot.

Wonderful National Trust open space Park. Entry to the park is free (pay for parking) and tickets can be purchase for the house and formal gardens. The open park has farmed deer roaming freely and is a fantastic place to park and explore with dogs/children etc.

Wonderful national trust gardens, absolutely stunning in autumn and spring. If couples (child-free guests) we advise avoiding visiting during school holidays as can be very busy. Pre-booking tickets required since covid.
