Half days walk return this is a more challenging walk but very rewarding. Leave early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise from the top. On a hot day dont leave it too late to set off as its quite an exposed walk.

Beautiful park set back from the lake. Lovely place to wander and enjoy in peace. Can join the path from the park down to the lake front and spot the famous Wanaka Tree. The path continues on past Edgewater Resort where you can pop in for a drink or continue to Waterfall Creek.

Stunningly beautiful and less than an hours drive from the town centre. Park at the DOC centre and walk across bridges, down the river and through the valley.

Wander the small town and visit historic buildings. Stop off at the Cardrona Distillery if youre a fan of a globally appreciated gin!
