Shea Stadium is a great place to experience some history in Queens NY. Shea Stadium used to be the home park of the New York Mets but was recently demolished to create parking space for Citi Field, the Mets new home. There's also lots of things you can do in the area while visiting the park, for example The Queens zoo, the Unisphere and many more!

Bus stop is a 2 minute walk away from the apartment
The bus ride is a 15 min ride to the subway which will take you on an adventurous ride into the center of Manhattan. There's a lot to experience once you are there! Wear comfortable shoes and clothing so you can be prepared to do a lot of walking to get the best out of the experience. Oh, and make sure to have a slice of pizza while your'e there!

Although once inside the apartment you will always have your quiet time, unlike the winters here in Queens New York, summers are all about festivities and fun! People are excited to be out. You don't have to go too far to experience what the culture is like around here. On the strip close to the apartment, you can find different choices of tasty West Indian foods and places to have a nice evening out.
