A local favorite go-to beach. Bike path that goes around the pond and connects to Cape Henlopen state park in Lewes. You can access the beach by parking in the parking lot with the state park entrance fee for the day and walk over the dunes to the beach.

Gordons Pond State Park Area
61 Ocean DrA local favorite go-to beach. Bike path that goes around the pond and connects to Cape Henlopen state park in Lewes. You can access the beach by parking in the parking lot with the state park entrance fee for the day and walk over the dunes to the beach.

The Northside is the right hand turn Before the bridge. It is ideal for surfers, skim boarders or to body board in the waves. Dogs are allowed there. Public restrooms are available. There is a restaurant there called Hammerheads Dockside. It is right past the park and right on the marina. Stunning views and great for sunsets and drinks/food.
Southside is the right turn right after you cross the bridge. There is also a fee for the day, with public bathrooms and showers. There is an outdoor restaurant Big Chill Beach Club there with 360 views of the ocean and bay. Don’t miss the sunset there!!
Dogs are not allowed at Southside.
