Greenport and it's neighbors
Greenport is a great jumping off point to explore some of the far-reaching spots on New York's North Fork. If you want to leave, that is!
Greenport is a small seaside village at the East End of Long Island's North Fork. There's an abundance of wineries, farmstands, great restaurants and bars and unique boutiques in the area, not to mention some outstanding Bay and Sound side beaches to explore. As much fun in the Winter months as in Summer!

Beaches
We have some beautiful beaches, you might just need to work for them! The town has quite strict permit rules for parking, but some of the beaches have day-permits available on site and the local town beach (5th/6th Street) is within walking distance from our house. A lot of the beaches are pebble beaches, so we recommend water shoes to make it easier to get in the water!

Wineries
A big highlight of Long Island’s North Fork are the many wineries. These are some of our favorites. Please be responsible and book a car service or bring a designated driver if visiting them by car.

Greenport and the North Fork have a great food scene, with new restaurants joining the mix each new season. Farm-to-table and local fares are a priority and many of the spots and worth seeking out, especially in the bountiful summer and fall seasons.
We recommend making a reservation in advance, especially if you really want to visit a specific place. Resy and OpenTable both feature a number of our local restaurants. For the walk-in-only spots, be prepared for a wait in the busy summer months (but most have good bars to while away the waiting time!)
A solid menu, good drinks and incredible views, especially at sunset. See if you can snag one of the few outdoor tables in the summer. Late night, check out the Piano Bar.
