Okay, unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place for dinner because after almost 80 years in business, it’s hit or miss.
But after dinner at Rip Tide, down the street, park in this parking lot and walk on the West Haven boardwalk.
It runs along the beach, and there are several peers that you can walk out to and watch the stars and the planes takeoff from nearby airports

Best Apizza 🍕 in the USA!
The worst apizza in New Haven, and greater New Haven, is better than the best pizza in the rest of the country. Even Brooklynites have trouble arguing this once they get their greasy hands on these pies.

Okay, Abate’s first location is on New Haven’s Little Italy 🇮🇹 on Wooster Street, right in the middle of the Apizza wars. I added this Orange location in case you want amazing New Haven Apizza, without the drive. No atmosphere, best for home.

Okay, I know it’s sushi 🍣 technically, but it’s Chinese owned. Good sushi, great service, and reasonable prices. Probably the best in the area. You’ll see others in Milford and Orange, but drive by and go here.
