Sightseeing
We love this place. *Note* There are a lot of stairs!!! It's about a 15-20 minute hike. Turn left before taking the first set of stairs down to South Florencia Bay. The board walk is beautiful before you hit another set of big stairs down to Halfmoon Bay. No surfing here but maybe a bit of body surfing!

I run this trail most mornings! It's about 8 km from Black Rock to the end and back. There's some beautiful artist loops and an ancient cedar tree loop near the end. I've seen killer whales (only once but it was amazing!) and lots of hump backs and grey whale sitings from the look outs along this trail. During the winter we use the trail for incredible storm watching.

This spot is ideal for swimming and stand up paddle boarding. Unless it is really windy, it is protected from the big swells and should be quite calm. Wind can be an issue here.

My favourite surf beach. This beach works with Easterly winds (SE, E, NE) and west swells. If you are a beginner surfer, park at A lot and walk as far down to the interpretive centre as you feel necessary. It will be a lot more friendly. This is where the surf shops take surf lessons. This is an advanced surfer beach break. I do not recommend beginners following the crowd between B and E lot. Be aware of rips, tides and currents! Check out local surf information @ magicseaweed.com or visit a surf shop!

Such a gorgeous beach! A must visit for long walks, surfing, sunbathing, and sand castles. This is a surf beach. All levels welcome, but beginners stay away from the large rocks! Rips have pulled many beginners out along Lovkin rock and it has been fatal for some. Works on south swells and Northwest winds.

This beach is magical. If the wind is strong Northwest this beach is nice and protected. It has the best sandy beach tide pools on low tide and in the summer the swells are smaller here which means great for beginner surfers! Take note, there are quite a few stairs to access the beach!

This is a short 5-8 minute trail down to the beach. It is fairly steep and has some board walk over the boggy sections. This beach is usually less populated and is a local favourite for finding beach treasures like glass balls. It’s very rare though.

This is a great sunset destination. You can park at pacific sands, have Wild Side dinner (I like the salmon tacos!) and afterwards watch the sunset. We thoroughly enjoy this adventure. If you don’t want to eat at Wild Side, you can park in the Maltby rd parking lot. It is a pay parking lot now.

This place has some amazing historical information. The only problem is it can be hit and miss with its hours of operation. There is the most amazing sightseeing route just past it. We call this south beach trail. It will lead you all the way to North Florencio bay and to some amazing beaches along the way.

My favourite spot to eat out in Tofino. Locally sourced ingredients, simple yet yummy foods and it's priced right. I also really enjoy the casual, cozy feel the restaurant boasts.
