Sightseeing
For a very “Chattanooga” like
experience, go for a walk across the Walnut Street Bridge (the world’s longest
pedestrian bridge), which connects downtown to the North Shore where you’ll find
tons of local and unique shopping. While you’re here head down to Coolidge Park
for a picnic, l et the kids play i n the water fountains, rent
bikes/kayaks/paddleboards, ride the carousel, and don’t forget to grab a famous
shaved ice from Bill’s. You can also take a short walk from here to Renaissance Park
also known as Cardboard Hill where you’ll find kids of all ages (seriously, this is my
dad’s favorite thing to do) sliding down the big hill. The possibilities are endless
here!

Great for kids and adults. Lots of fun animals and
they offer giraffe feedings and camel rides on certain days. Restaurant at the zoo
has good burgers and the Warner Park Playground is next to it (walking distance) so
you can really burn some kid energy here!

Lookout Mountain is home to some great
attractions like Ruby Falls and Rock City, as well as the Chattanooga Incline - the
world’s steepest passenger railway. All fun activities for kids and adults. If you like
hiking I would recommend checking out the Glen Falls Trail (short hike to a pretty
waterfall and shallow swimming area) or for a longer adventure try hiking up to the
beautiful Sunset Rock via Craven’s House Trail. You can also drive to the Sunset
Rock parking area and it's just a short walk to the overlook.

Beginning in the spring and running through the fall,
the Chattanooga Market i s every Sunday from 11 to 2 and i s the largest
producer-only farmer’s market in the region. Fresh flowers, local beer, food
trucks, etc. - definitely one of my favorite things to do.
