A 5-minute walk from the apartment (and you can see a bit of it from one of the bedroom windows), the Nile corniche is a nice place to walk, jog, or just admire the scenery. There are plenty of coffee shops right on the river bank where you can have hot and cold drinks, and some sheesha too (water pipe, hubbly bubbly or hookah, whatever you want to call it ;))
