Find the Tree Sculptures
Many years after Hurricane Ike, sculpture artists gave a second life to what Mother Nature was trying to destroy. Wonderful sculptures have replaced the majestic oak trees that once lined the streets and shady houses of many neighborhoods.

Turtles About Galveston
Who doesn’t love a turtle? Now, you can get up close and personal with colorful Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle statues around the island.
Turtles About Town is a public art project that showcases the conservation efforts of Turtle Island Restoration Network . Turtle Island Restoration Network, a leading advocate for the world’s oceans and marine wildlife, has partnered with Clay Cup Studios, a local interactive art studio, to bring this project to the island.
Local businesses sponsored the turtles while local artists were commissioned to give each one its own personality and meaning.
