This place is great! Smart hotel, worth popping in for afternoon tea, a cocktail or late night DJ hearing. Quite pricey, but it is beautiful and upmarket. The Principal Hotel had a rumoured £25 million spend and the bar is centre piece. Go and have a look, even if you don't order drinks. Dog friendly, child friendly and up-lifting.

The variety of things you can buy for £1 is amazing! I give my nieces and nephews £3 each and we get arts/crafts/baking/fixing stuff last the rest of the day.

They have a play ground and an art gallery. A truly lovely city park right on your door step. Do pop into the Art Gallery for coffee and best view of the park (especially if it's raining: which this city is notorious for).
