The gentle flow of the waterway makes this location popular with families with younger children. Easy access from 49 Hwy with two parking lots.
The strawberry bar swimming hole is up the river bank. Beautiful spot for teens and adults. Not recommended for children.

South of Bridgeport, there is a covered bridge that is a fantastic swimming hole for kids. Calm and shallow waters for kids. 180 view if you're taking the kids. North of the bridge towards the state park parking lot is more for adults and a hike in.
