Avila Beach has a dog park just after the Cal Poly pier. It’s the best beach on the Central Coast in my opinion even if you don’t have a dog.

Best long hiking trailing. Be ready to pack lunch for this breath taking beach hike. It is a total round trip distance of 12 miles. It starts 3 miles uphill and then 3 miles downhill to Point Sal State Beach. After eating lunch and enjoying the secluded beach, you will head uphill again for 3 miles and then downhill for the final 3 miles.
