Coffee
Our coffee roasters are on par with the best in the US - Huckleberry Denver, Four Barrels San Fran, Stumptown Portland. Good job little village of Redding. Try them all and let me know what you think. My favorite drink at each of them is the single origin cappuccino hot or iced!

Good atmosphere for drinks & nice outdoor patio. Stick to the burger menu. I do not recommend the any of the other food - not even the pizza or salads.

The only outdoor patio overlooking the Sacramento river in town! Stick to the sweet potato fries and draft beer menu. I am sorry to say, I have not had success with anything else.

Amazing Thai food (the only type of food that is consistently good in Redding)... We have 5 Thai restaurants worth trying. I’d only eat appetizers and drinks at other food spots in town, and stick to Thai for dinner.

This is a local favorite. I am sorry to say that I do not recommend it. If you have to go, stick to the burger menu or try the Sunday brunch. I have not tried it, but trustworthy friends recommend it.

Kanya Market

Great poke for such a small town. Can’t beat the small poke bowl for $10, which is definitely shareable if you have self-discipline.

Great homemade ice cream. Cinders next door has decent wood-fired pizza most of the time and good salads sometimes (depending on who throws it together for you.) I do not recommend From the Hearth Cafe around the corner. If you are starving, and don’t want pizza - try one of their fajita bowl things (edible, not great, and pricey).
