This gorgeous, centrally located neighborhood is a sight to behold. The first thing you’ll notice: brownstones, and lots of them. Albany takes pride in maintaining its historic brownstones and row-houses. Center Square lies in the very heart of Albany and is steps away from major performance venues and the New York State Museum, as well as the New York State Legislature and associated offices.

My personal favorite brunch spot in Albany! Use Yelp to reserve a table ahead of time. I recommend reserving a table in their back-patio. Delicious food and great waitstaff.

I lived in Troy for about 3 years and fell head-over-heels for its charm. The historic architecture is incredible and there are so many amazing restaurants, bars, and venues, including the famed Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. If you catch yourself in Troy on a Saturday, don’t forget to stop by the weekly Farmer’s Market, which is by far the best in the area. In my opinion, Downtown Troy is a must-see when visiting the Capital Region.
