Food Scene
If you’re craving a delicious breakfast, make sure to head over to Pastelaria Arco-Iris. If you step outside the entrance and make a left, you can’t miss it. We highly recommend “croissant folhado misto com manteiga” (croissant with butter, ham and cheese) with a glass of fresh squeezed “sumo de laranja” (orange juice) and a coffee. If you have a sweet tooth, Arco-Iris has the best Pasteis de Nata around (perhaps in all of Portugal!). Cash payment only.

Beach snacks:
Our favorite spot at the beach is without a doubt Coral Beach Bar. Here you can find various delicious snacks and meals as well as coffee, drinks, sangria and much more. If you make a right when you exit the building and then make a second right again to turn towards the beach, you’ll find it. Cash payment only.

Great chicken:
If you’re craving a great meal at a good price check out Marufo 1 or 2 (the restaurant got so popular that they opened an identical one right across the street from the first one!). Marufo’s chicken is doubtless the best around. It is possible to walk there (2,2 km/28 min) but you can also grab an über or a taxi of course.

For the adventurous:
For those willing to try something new, head over to Snack Bar o Patilhas and order “caracois” (snail stew) with some of their excitingly flavoured sangrias. Eating caracóis with a toothpick is about as Portuguese as it gets. O Patilhas has the best snails in Quarteira and is located along the promenade towards Vilamoura (if you’re looking at the ocean, make a right, walk along the promenade and you’ll soon find it).
