This is my favourite local hike. Always a winner! It takes about four hours in and out, and that includes a swim at Cabin Lake and a picnic on the Bluff.

About 1 hour of straight up stair master in the middle of the forest. Dare you!

Lots of restaurants and a Friday night outdoor live music/beer gardens/craft fair/food truck event every week through the warmer months. A lovely 30 minute walk or a short drive to get there from the house.

About a 15 minute drive from the house is this super charming little village on the water. Hiking and good food and shopping.

This is a great spot to visit for the day. Lots of hiking and wandering around. A beautiful view and spots to eat. Make sure not to miss the Grizzly Bears! They were found as cubs and have been raised on top of the mountain in an enclosure.

Beautiful sights. You can pay and go into the park, or you can walk on one of the many freely accessed trails around the banks of the river.

This is a little further away, but not to be missed when you are in Vancouver. (It's also where I have my studio/gallery!) - It's a must see.
