Our favourite beach side cafe/bistro - lovely breakfasts, cakes and wood fired pizza. Located on the Boscombe beachfront next to the surf school and beach volleyball courts, this place has an atmosphere all on its own. From here you can walk along the boardwalk to Bournemouth town centre and beach. Worth checking on their website for live entertainment evenings and afternoon

We think this serves the best Sunday roast in the area, and believe me we have tried more than a few. Friendly staff always make you feel welcome. Also great for cooked breakfast and dining the rest of the week as well.

This is becoming one of our favourite places to eat just outside Milford village. Excellent food in a stunning location. Excellent service and great atmosphere with lovely walks nearby to burn off those calories. Outside benches and a serving hatch means this is a great place to stop on your walk along the fabulous coastline. We like to walk there from the cabin and take a break with a coffee or ice cream before either heading on or returning back.

Hurst Castle is an artillery fort established by Henry VIII on the Hurst Spit in Hampshire, England, between 1541 and 1544. A visit to Hurst Castle is one of the best days out in the New Forest with plenty of open space for children to explore and fantastic views of the Isle of Wight.

The Georgian market town of Lymington is set on the coast in the beautiful New Forest National Park, between Southampton and Bournemouth. Famous for its sailing history, there are two large marinas filled with fishing boats and yachts, as well as two sailing clubs. The town’s narrow streets are lined with pretty period cottages and houses, as well as plenty of local pubs and restaurants.
Lymington High Street has several independent shops and designer boutiques, as well as a local market held each Saturday which dates back to the 13th century. At the bottom of the High Street, a cobbled road leads down to the Old Town Quay, which is still used by a number of commercial fishing boats. There is often a chance to buy fresh fish on the waterfront. From here you can take a stroll along the waters edge and soak up the atmosphere of this renowned sailing resort. Further information can be found on www.visit-hampshire.co.uk/explore/towns/lymington
You can also enjoy a day trip to Yarmouth from Lymington with Wightlink Ferries. This is a 40 minute crossing across The Solent and you can take your car or go as a foot passenger. There is also a small ferry service for day passengers with The Coral Star, departing from Lymington Quay. Further information can be found on www.redfunnel.co.uk or www.coralstar.co.uk
