Riverside Transport Museum

The New Riverside museum is great for a visit. Providing great shelter from any rain! Revisit times past, with old Glasgow streets and a trip down memory lane for adults and the kids can clamber around the old trams and subway carriages keeping them entertained for at least a couple of hours. Also, it is free to enter and has a cafe for refreshments, time well spent for all

Oran Mor Top of Byers Road - A Play a Pie and a Pint

This is an old church converted into a pub and playhouse located just as you leave The Botanic gardens at the top of Byers road. There is a new play each week to enjoy with your pie and pint. It starts at 1 pm and tickets can be prebooked online. The pub has a small downstairs nightclub open at the weekends.

Scotland and COVID

October 2021 - Mask have to be worn indoors. when sitting in restaurants and pubs you can take the mask off but when walking around or going to get served at the bar the mask should go back on. Hand sanitiser should be used as you enter shops most shops have this at the doorway. Unfortunately, as COVID numbers are rising slowly quite a number of museums and Art galleries are closed so really need to check online to see what is open.
